One of the things I enjoy besides sculpting is gardening. It takes up much of my time thru the spring and summer but I cannot imagine my life without it. A place of peace and inspiration. We took a bare piece of ground and over the years transformed it into our little getaway. All of it was done by us...no contracted labor. Every stone, plant, and structure on the property we placed or built it there ourselves. Just thought I would share...Hope you enjoy it!!!
Thank you Joanna from http://joannathomasdolls.blogspot.com/for this wonderful The Byrum Spiritual Art Award. I feel very honored to have received such an award from such a treasured artist and friend. The Byrum Spiritual Award means "You make a difference ... I know, because you have for me!" Now I would like to pass this along to 6 artists that I find their work very creative and inspirational: 1. Valerie http://elysianfieldoriginals.blogspot.com/ 2. Silke http://silkeslittlefolk.blogspot.com/
Linda http://lindawalshoriginals.blogspot.com/ I hope you will take the time to visit the blogs of these very creative and inspirational artists. They are very inspirational ladies! Warmly, Marcie ;-)
Just wanted to share a photo of my husband and me on our wedding day. We were married on June 11, 1977 and just celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary! He is a wonderful man and I love him dearly! They say time flies when you are having fun....so true!!!! ;-)
I thought it would be fun to show some glimpses of my studio since I have never done that before. So I will start with this photo of an angel that sits in my studio behind where I sculpt. She is a large garden ornament that I just couldn't bare to leave outside. I brought her inside and she watches over me as I sculpt and go about my daily routine. I am a firm believer in guardian angels and this lovely angel reminds me of that everytime I see her. She brings me much joy!!! Hope you like her too! Warmly, Marcie
This time of year is such a busy time of year for me I barely have time to sculpt. I have also taken on a huge project that has been eating up my time the last few weeks that I will tell you about soon. (It has been so fun!) In the meantime I have been working on a new piece called Alice In Wonderland and I wanted to share just a few of the characters that will be incorporated into the piece as it gets further along. Warmly, Marcie ;-)

Hello, my name is Marcie Hart. I am an artist-sculptor working in polymer clay and mixed media. I love fantasy, fairytales and mythical themes and usually incorporate these themes into my work. I have always been involved in the arts in one way or another since as far back as I can remember. My work has been featured in Dolls Magazine, Doll Collector Magazine, Susanna Oroyan's book Designing the Doll and I was also chosen to represent Idaho in the 1998 Blue Room Christmas Tree decoration for President Bill & Hillary Clinton. My work resides in collectors homes worldwide. I hope you will enjoy visiting and I hope to give a little insight on my work and myself along the way. Thank you for stopping by!

makes interest
makes importance
and I know of no substitute
for the force and beauty of its process…"
