The holidays are upon us and I have been going like a whirlwind trying to complete new pieces in the studio, preparing for Thanksgiving and thinking about Christmas gifts along the way.
I woke up this morning to see this beautiful herd of elk across the way from us and it made me stop for a moment and take a deep breath. We get so busy with our daily lives that sometimes we forget to stop and enjoy the beauty that is all around us. Taking a moment to watch this herd as their little calfs play and jump around their mothers is a sight to behold. The arriving snow and chilly mornings make them playful and alert. Beautiful, majestic animals that help to remind me of the simpler things in life and the joy of the season....

Marcie, I thought the pictures were paintings at first. Those are such wonderful peaceful photos. Where do you live...I want to move there!!!
Hi Dessa!
Thank you! ;-)
I live in the mountains outside of Boise. We have been here for about 26 years. We have enjoyed living in the mountains and seeing the wildlife over the years. Our closest store is 25 miles away.
It was a great place to raise our 2 boys.
Thanks for stopping by!!! ;-)
